While we were yet celebrating the world’s thinnest smartphone ever, the Oppo Find N5, and having our minds settled about it, little did we know that our excitement was going to be short lived. And this is how?
During the Mobile World’s Congress 2025 held in Barcelona, Tecno debuted its latest revelation, the Tecno Spark Slim with a thickness of 5.75mm making it the world’s thinnest smartphone ever taking over from Oppo Find N5 which measures 8.93mm in thickness.

Tecno Spark Slim: Ultra-Thin Design with Powerful Features
The Tecno Spark Slim is just 5.75mm thin, making it one of the slimmest smartphones while still packing impressive features. It has a sleek design with smooth, curved edges and a unique raised horizontal camera module on the back, giving it a futuristic look.
The phone features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a sharp 1224p resolution and a super-smooth 144Hz refresh rate, ensuring vibrant colors and fluid animations. It also reaches an incredible 4,500 nits of peak brightness, making it easy to see even in direct sunlight.
Despite its ultra-slim body, the Spark Slim includes a large 5,200mAh battery, which is just 4.04mm thick. It supports 45W fast charging, allowing for quick recharges.
For photography, the phone has a 50MP dual-camera system on the back, with a notification light-bar-style LED between them. It’s really cool and very high-tech.
Unfortunately, the Tecno Spark Slim is just a concept phone and won’t be released in this exact design and size. However, Tecno is eager to bring its innovative features and style to a different product later this year!
So what do you think? Is Oppo Find N5 still maintaining its current position as the world’s thinnest smartphone?
