Samsung announced their latest Galaxy S25 smartphone series on January 22, 2025, during the Galaxy Unpacked event in San Jose, California.
The South Korean tech giant unveiled the new line which includes the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra models. The phones are said to be chock full of innovative features.
Although Most of the hardware on the Galaxy S25 is mostly the same as last year’s s24 models , except for a faster chip and a more powerful ultrawide lens on the camera.
In this phase, Samsung is positioning the Galaxy S25 as a “true AI companion” capable of pulling more requests out of conversations, learning people’s routines, anticipating people’s needs and performing more technological tricks, such as being able to remove unwanted sounds from videos or identifying the name of a song upon request; all emphasizing advanced artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.
Also another chief feature has been added and that is the “Now Bar” feature. On the Galaxy S25 series is a newly introduced tool designed to enhance convenience and accessibility. It appears directly on the lock screen and provides quick access to essential information and actions without the need to unlock the phone.
Key features of the “Now Bar” include Real-time updates, quick controls, Ai powered customization, interactive widgets, etc. It’s customizable via the One UI 7 settings, allowing users to choose which information and widgets they want to appear.
Another highly anticipated feature of the S25 series is the device’s picture-taking capabilities.
The phone includes a 200 megapixel main camera, along with advanced ultra-wide and telephoto lenses, promise crystal-clear shots, even at extreme distances.
The S25 is powered by Qualcomm’s cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset — an advanced processor enables lightning-fast multitasking and seamless gaming.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra starts at $1,300, the S25+ at $1000 and the S25 at $800 with various color options, including exclusive online variants.
These devices are available for pre-order now and will officially launch on February 7, 2025.
