2Bitcoin may not be a currency
Bitcoin has been called currency. But is it really a currency? The issue is not whether it is digital but that you can only buy it using a physical fiat money we are used to.
So, suppose there’s no physical money as we know it, how do we acquire bitcoin? It is not approved by SEC, so it is not in the banking system. By nature, for now, bitcoin is highly dependent on the fiat paper money system.
In other words, if anything happens to the dollar, it will happen to bitcoin. But if anything happens to bitcoin, the dollar knows nothing about it.
