At its “There’s more in the making” event in Brooklyn, New York city, Apple launched its 2018 iPad Pro. The product was launched in two models: 11 inch and 12.9 inches screen sizes. Apple immediately started taking preorders on its website. Shipment of the products starts November 7.

The iPad Pro starts at a base price of $799 for the 11 inches screen, while the 12.9 inches screen starts at $999. This is an increase of over $100 from that of 2017.
FEATURES:
- The new iPad Pro has smaller Bezels, though they are not fully all-screen.
- The displays are curved at the corners
- No home button to take up screen space on the display.
- The new iPad Pro uses Face ID not Touch ID
- Apple calls the new display “Liquid Retina”
- The new iPads are slimmer, they are 5.9mm thick compared to the 6.1mm thickness of the previous one.
- They are available only in two colours: silver and space grey.
- There’s an Apple pencil with a magnetic connector, it attaches firmly to the edge of the product and charges wirelessly.
- Apple introduces A12X Bionic chip, with 64-bit Architecture Neural Engine. For 2X graphics processing speed and machine learning application.
- The new iPad comes with a USB-C connector.
One of the big change noted is the introduction of USB-C. Did Apple bow to pressure from the EU in its case of monopolistic practice? When it was accused of owning everything and giving no room for third-party accessory makers, thereby hitting the $1 Trillion valuation mark?
